This adapter plugs directly into an IDE port on your motherboard. You connect a SATA cable and power to it. Utterly seamless and requires no drivers.

Convert the IDE socket on your motherboard to a SATA socket. Excellent design to utilise the IDE socket facility on many motherboards so that additional SATA devices can be installed. Note that this will support one SATA device only.
