A NEW Compact Flash to IDE Adapter with PC Backplate
The IDE to CompactFlash Adapter enables you to replace Hard Disk Drives with economical, rugged CompactFlash cards.
You can boot from DOS/Windows/Linux using a CF Card
This Version includes a shielded CF Card slot, LED indicator, PC backplate for easy installation AND improved DMA Support.
This means that you will not experience the short delay while booting and CF Card access is faster.
- Master/Slave jumper allows you run a CF Card and an IDE hard Drive. - You can choose to boot from the CF Card if required. - Windows will see this as a Removable Disk with its own drive letter. - Power supplied via a floppy power conector. - Your BIOS will see this as an IDE Hard Disk. - Low Power (less than .5W / less than 100mA)
Note: This is plugged into the IDE interface and is not hot swappable. Power must be off to remove.
Note: CompactFlash cards sold for digital camera use sometimes have strange partition sectors, and may require rewriting (FDISK/MBR) to make them bootable.
