The IDE to Secure Digital (SD) Multi Media Card (MMC) Adapter enables the use of a SD/MMC Card as an IDE Hard Drive.
SD/MMC Cards offer the benefit of low power consumption, low operating temperature, no noise, shock resistance and fast access time.
The IDE to SD/MMS Adapter is transparent to the operating system and does not require any drivers.
With this adapter the host PC will identify the inserted SD/MMC card as a standard IDE Hard Drive. You can install an operating system and the SD/MMC card will be bootable. Note that in this situation the SD/MMC card is not hot swapable.
