These Devices allow you to connect a Laptop CD or DVD drive to the IDE cable on your Desktop system. The one below is: L = 116.18mm, W = 19.5mm, H = 22.91mm (total height including plug sockets on both sides of PCB).
Laptop CD and DVD drives are really compact devices and now you are able to add one to your desktop system or micro/embedded system.
These adapters convert the connector on a standard Slimline (notebook) CD drive such as CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW, or DVD-+RW drive to standard 40-pin IDE, power, and audio output connectors.
On one side of the adapter is a special connector which connects to the Slimline (notebook) CD-ROM Drive/DVD Drive/CD-RW drive, on the other side, is a standard 40-pin IDE connector which connects to a standard IDE controller with a 40-pin IDE cable, it also has a 4-pin power connector that connects to the power.
