You can boot from DOS/Windows/Linux using the CF Card, same as IDE hard drives

- Has a Master/Slave jumper so you can run it with an IDE HDD.
- Windows will see the CF card as a Removable Disk with its own drive letter.
- Your BIOS will see this as an IDE Disk Drive.

NOTE: This is an IDE Interface and is NOT Hot Swapable - Power must be off to change cards.

Note: CompactFlash cards sold for digital camera use sometimes have strange partition sectors, and may require rewriting (FDISK/MBR) to make them bootable.
